A very recent documentary co-produced by Advent Health and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine entitled “Plantwise” is an impactful look at how simple changes in lifestyle, such as diet, can have dramatic effects on the development and progression of many chronic diseases. A number of leading clinicians and researchers effectively make the point that there isn’t a specific diet needed for each disease process. One simple diet, whole food, plant-based nutrition, can prevent or reverse most of the chronic illnesses that are afflicting so many Americans. Along with patients who have experienced life-changing health improvements by going WFPB they make the case of how simple, but not restrictive this lifestyle is and the journey is actually fun!
